Be a champion and an advocate for children, teens and their families, by being a critical member of our team! We provide affordable and immediate COUNSELING, CARE, and CONNECTION for clients to thrive.
The Executive Director will have the opportunity to provide strategic direction and clarity to this well-respected, successful, and fiscally stable counseling service organization focused on supporting teens and their families in times of need. In addition to effectively and efficiently managing ongoing operations, high priorities for the Executive Director include:
Organizational Leadership
- Guide and enhance our business operations
- Oversee the development and implementation of programs aligned with our vision and mission
- Maintain the quality and compliance of all programs
- Create and execute short and long-term strategic plans in cooperation with the Board and Staff
- Work cooperatively with the Board of Directors, with 17 members
Community Engagement
- Cultivate strong community relationships and volunteer partnerships
- Increase Outreach’s visibility through local media, community leadership, and social media
- Represent Outreach at events and networking opportunities
- Explore opportunities to expand the services into new communities
Experienced Revenue Generator
- Lead Fundraising efforts and explore new development opportunities
- Oversee grant research and writing efforts
- Adept at creating a comprehensive funding strategy that harnesses initiative and creativity.
- Able to secure and leverage the public and private resources needed to advance Outreach’s mission.
Financial Stewardship
- Oversee budget and finance management
- Allocate resources effectively to balance current needs and future goals
- Work closely with the Finance Committee and Board Treasurer to ensure fiscal health and integrity
- Apply financial acumen to optimize organizational performance
Team Management
- Lead and inspire our dedicated staff
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-looking work environment
- Possess strong people skills with the ability to connect with each staff and board member, understand individual and collective concerns, and resolve personnel issues with empathy.
- Implement effective HR practices to support our team.
Board Partnership
- Serve as the key liaison with our Board of Directors
- Partner on strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth
What You'll Bring:
- Passion for our mission and an understanding of our clients’ needs
- 3-5 years of senior leadership experience in non-profit or similar organizations
- 5 years of staff management experience
- Experience working within Mental Health
- Strong financial and budgeting skills
- Public speaking experience and excellent communication abilities
- Proven success in fundraising, particularly with major gifts
- Grant writing experience (highly preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- Master’s degree (highly preferred)
