The Role
The Senior Engineer, Embedded, Sensors, and Safety Software position will support the creation of reliable, safety-critical software that senses, monitors and controls the vehicle. This position requires exceptional software engineering skills, understanding of the full development life cycle, attention to detail, and ability to learn in unstructured environments.
This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be located in the Denver area, or open to relocating.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and delivery of real time software that processes raw sensor data into a consumable input to autonomy features (e.g. aggregated LiDAR point cloud)
- Create and enhance offline tooling in C , Python and other languages as appropriate
- Evaluate, diagnose, and monitor sensor performance in test and deployment environments
- Develop / document software through all phases of the development lifecycle : concept, requirements, design, architecture, implementation, unit test, integration (HIL), and vehicle level system evaluation
- Assist in mentoring and educating the team and organization on HPC, perception sensors best practices, processes and tools
- Contribute generally to the growth and success of the Company and the building of a vibrant culture focused on the responsible deployment of zero-emission autonomous vehicle technology
