Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Assistants to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to individuals facing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and demonstrate the ability to implement effective treatment strategies. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with clients to promote their well-being and facilitate positive behavioral changes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
- Collect and analyze data related to client progress and behavior management strategies.
- Maintain in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate to coordinate care and enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain communication with care managers regarding client progress.
- Attend meetings for treatment planning and position responsibilities, as well as supervision, if applicable.
- Document each counseling session in a timely manner.
- Plan for termination and communicate plans to clients, families, staff, and care managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Experience working with children; working with children in a mental health setting preferred.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Certification through Children System of Care within 6 months of hire
