Job Title: Cardiovascular Suite-Interventional Radiology RN
Location: Northampton, MA 01060
Shift per week: Day Shift: either 5x8s or 4x10s. Call is required.
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks (possibility of extension)
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse-Cardiovascular Suite-Interventional Radiology (“CVIR”) is responsible for the quality of nursing care rendered to patients. The CVIR RN assesses, plans, implements, directs, supervises, and evaluates direct and indirect nursing care for patients in the CVIR setting.
Requirements:
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Require current experience in moderate sedation. Previous catheterization experience/hemodynamic monitoring/interventional Radiology experience required. Registered Nurse-CVIR has the following duties and responsibilities:
- Administer moderate sedation, complete admission assessments and recover patients
- Assist physician with procedures including include cardiac and radiology procedures requiring moderate/procedural sedation
- Circulate or scrub in the procedure room
- Render nursing care to the patient undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization, implanted Pacemaker/ICD, Interventional Radiology procedures (both within the CVS and in the Radiology Department or Operating Room) as well as assorted diagnostic cardiac procedures performed in the department
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Pay: $62.00 - $66.00 per hour
