Assistant Caregiver
- Support Head Caregiver with both long- and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
- Observe and monitor children's play activities.
- Assist in preparing food for children and serve meals and refreshments to children and regulate rest periods.
- Read to children, and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
- Develop with flexibility activities that are age-appropriate for infants.
- Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.
- Ensure that children's physiological needs are met individually.
- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others, and positive self-concepts.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
- Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, responsible, and ethical.
- Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials.
- Attend in-service and staff meetings.
- Meet all applicable licensing regulations.
- Sanitize toys and play equipment.
- Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to the group teacher.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
