Lakeport CA - Lead Grower
- We need an extremely experienced grower for a large-scale marijuana/cannabis greenhouse cultivation in Lakeport, CA.
JOB & CAREER SUMMARY:
Opportunity:
- An opportunity exists for an experienced manager to oversee all aspects of cultivation on a 3-acre farm in Lake County, California. This ideal grower must be be close by (the grow is between Hopland and Lakeport). Hopland residents are encouraged to apply, but if you live further than 15 minutes from Hopland or Lakeport it probably won’t work out. This is a very serious job, with a large time commitment. We are late to plant and need someone immediately.
- The farm has been in operation for a few years and is fully licensed with over 100,000 ft2 of permitted canopy, but it is new to us, and we need the best grower in Lake County to manage the operation from top to bottom.
Responsibilities:
- Create, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for “best practice” in all aspects of cannabis cultivation from receiving clones to the end of the curing process.
- Provide leadership to and manage a cultivation team in order to achieve production targets for yield and quality, on time and in full.
- Provide weekly updates to senior management on production status.
- Oversight of farm maintenance and equipment while maximizing production.
- Maintain the facility and equipment to meet all CDFA/CalCannabis and OSHA safety standards.
Experience Required:
- 3 years experience in successfully managing a multi-acre farm as lead grower in greenhouses, as well as 3-5 years of leadership experience.
- Ability to strategically plan and coordinate production efforts to meet targets and enforce lean cultivation principles.
- Demonstrable and effective project, time, and team management skills.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to operate a mini-excavator and skid steer.
- Eligible to work in the United States
