We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our thriving Construction division.
Primary Objectives:
Manage either the slab to frame inspection or frame inspection to turnover process of construction. This includes conducting all Quality Control inspections and communication of necessary corrections and results with the trades and Lead Superintendent. Utilizing Ovation plans and specifications, walk all areas of responsibility daily to assess quality and schedule adherence. Coordinate all necessary inspections for your area of responsibility and walk with the municipality and or 3rd party inspectors, addressing any needed corrections in a timely manner so as to not negatively impact the site schedule. Maintain compliance with OSHA, Dust Control and SWPPP regulations. Lead the trades and manage job site cleanliness daily. Participate in team and subcontractor meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Adherence

Prepare bi-weekly schedule updates to be presented to the lead Superintendent for distribution to the trades and Ovation management.

Proactively report to Lead Superintendent when issues arise that could negatively impact schedule adherence.

Make the necessary adjustments to recover from schedule delays.

Prepare bi-weekly schedule updates, report issues impacting adherence, and make adjustments to recover from delays.
Communication

Timely verbal and written communication regarding issues that may affect the project schedule and budget.

Assist Lead Superintendent in bi-weekly schedule updates sent to the trades, Ovation Management, and counterparts.

Participate and assist in daily team meetings for the reconciliation and distribution of the Procore Daily Log.

Participate and assist in weekly staff meetings; topics to include schedules, Quality Control, Safety, Jobsite Cleanliness, Dust Control, SWPPP, staffing (PTO) coverage, etc.

Ensure timely communication regarding project issues and assist in schedule updates and meetings to support project coordination and management.
Quality & Process/Procedures

Conduct Ovations’ QC program daily and ensure relevant items are completed for all aspects of your responsibilities. Utilizing Procore, ensure all deficiencies are documented and corrections are recorded.

Provide feedback to management for improvement of the QC program.

Ensure the Daily Log is accurate and formatted to Ovation standards.

Conduct regular/weekly walks with the trade foremen to ensure our subcontractors are cooperating and working as a team.

Oversee the daily implementation of Ovation’s QC program, ensuring documentation of deficiencies, accurate Daily Logs, and collaboration with trade foremen for continuous improvement.
Staffing and Development

Provide coaching to junior teammates by walking inspections, conducting trade meetings etc., with them.
Plans and Specifications

Participate in plan and specifications reviews with the Lead Superintendent.

Participate in the Procore RFI process, ensure plan errors and owner changes are processed in a timely fashion.

Participate in plan and specification review meetings with each Trade Partner prior to them starting their scope of work to ensure schedule and quality expectations are set. Also, to ensure subcontractors are providing the products specified in the contracts and plans.

Collaborate in plan and specification reviews, manage the Procore RFI process for timely updates, and set quality and schedule expectations with Trade Partners before they begin their work.
Budget

Document and communicate trade errors and omissions that result in additional costs so responsible parties may be held accountable.

If the site is not currently in the stage of construction for responsibility/ownership of this role, the Superintendent is to be active in assisting and learning from the Lead Superintendent in all current construction activities. Reviewing plans, specifications, and providing verbal and written communication of questions and feedback to the Lead Superintend and P.M. Preparing necessary field documents such as frame sheets, unit matrixes, building and site maps, etc.
Position Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of Construction Superintendent experience preferred.

Valid Driver's License, operational vehicle and valid automobile insurance. This is a construction field position.
Salary:
$90K/yr DOE
