Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Summary: Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen that allows for safe meal/cooking preparation
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, sanitize and reassemble food processing equipment
- Dispose of food wasted in a compliant manner
- Sweep and mop all floors
- Dust and clean ventilation ducts to ensure safe working order
- Use approved chemicals to clean kitchen areas
- Communicate with kitchen staff on areas that need sanitation and document all cleaning activity
- Comply with all food safety standards and cleanliness standards
- Keep all areas of kitchen and storage areas neat and organized.
- Wash and scrub all floors and walls.
- Other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant a plus
- Strong attention to detail. Meticulous.
- Ability to communicate (read & write) in English
