We are seeking a per diem (RN) nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in Fort Worth, Texas. The schedule varies from 6 : 00am - 3 : 00pm and 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm Monday-Friday. Working hours depend on how many procedures we have per day. We are looking for candidates that can pick up 2-3 shifts per month. No weekends required.
How You'll Contribute :
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the ASC RN is responsible for :
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
- Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Provide patient education
