Job Summary:
The Tech Hub Support Technician I will provide daily support, for the TechHub North America location in RTP, North Carolina. The role requires the applicant to gain an understanding of the individual established roles and the interaction required between the roles to perform basic tasks. Perform individual tasks as trained to do or under supervision. The candidate will learn to create requests, document updates and complete tasks in the ServiceNow ticketing system. Depending on the role, the tech may assist in diagnosing hardware, build issues, and with supervision find solutions to problems in other related areas of responsibility. The Ideal candidate should have 1-2 years’ relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Logistics (Shipping /Receiving), Inventory Control, ITAD, fulfilling hardware requests through a ticketing program (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.), installing Windows/IOS images via a network PXE Boot, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Willing to train the right person with a team-oriented attitude.
a) Cross train with the different roles within the hub. Logistics, Build Tech, Asset Management, ITAD, Ticket Administration.
b) Work with primary technicians to assist and gain an understanding in each area of responsibility.
c) Must be willing to ask questions and communicate effectively to signify understanding of all processes to follow established processes. Participate in regular team meetings in an interactive manner to provide updates, share information, and provide input.
d) Post ticket updates for all individual work completed.
e) Install Windows 10 through a network connection.
f) Should have basic knowledge of operating systems.
h) This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and teamwork.
i.) Is willing to perform other duties as assigned to help team succeed and meet goals.
Candidate Required Minimum Qualifications and Skills
a) Some Tech school or equivalent experience in Logistics (shipping /receiving), Inventory Control, UPS Worldship, customer service or other related field experience.
c) Minimum of 6 -12 months of experience in Tech or a related field.
d.) Have an interest in computers.
d) Knowledge of Windows 10, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation is a plus.
f) Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
g) Ability to multi-task, effectively determine priorities to meet daily workflow demands.
h) Excellent communication skills, to build relationships with internal and external customers.
i) Excellent customer service skills.
j) Adaptable and flexible to excel in a fast-changing industry and work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
