Overdawn Studio is an indie game studio startup based in Los Angeles, developing Overdawn, a unique 2.5D, fast-paced, bullet-time, bullet-hell shooter featuring thrilling gunplay and precise headshots. Playing as the chosen ones, you must break back into the past, to the doom-impending state of Andrean, where your actions may alter the course of the universe.
Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Lead 2D Artist at Overdawn Studio. The Lead 2D Artist will be responsible for creating 2D artwork, overseeing art direction, collaborating with the team on visual concepts, and ensuring the visual style consistency of projects.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in 2D art creation and design
- Strong understanding of art direction and visual storytelling
- Experience in collaborating with a team on visual concepts
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual style consistency
- Knowledge of industry-standard design software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in the gaming or animation industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field
