Estimator/Detailer

*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all construction projects are accurately estimated and executed according to specifications. This position requires strong skills in cost control, project management, and effective communication with various stakeholders. As a Detailer, you will be instrumental in building a foundation for successful project delivery. *Duties* - Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate construction estimates and budgets. - Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for precise cost analysis and documentation. - Review contract documents to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. - Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve optimal project costs. - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for detailing. - Maintain organized records of all project details, including changes and updates. - Assist in the preparation of bid proposals by providing detailed quantity take-offs and pricing information. - Support the construction team by providing clear and concise details that facilitate smooth execution on-site. *Requirements* - Proven experience in construction estimating or detailing is preferred. - Strong knowledge of cost control methods and practices within the construction industry. - Proficiency in using software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for project management tasks. - Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and subcontractors. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and other technical documents. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. - Familiarity with construction site operations is a plus.
