Temporary Office Operations Manager (Salt Lake City, UT – On-Site)
Company Overview:
We are a fast-growing tech startup opening a new office in Salt Lake City for our sales team. To ensure a smooth setup and launch, we need a reliable, detail-oriented Temporary Office Operations Manager to assist with the logistical and operational aspects of getting our office up and running.
Role Overview:
As our Office Operations Manager, you will be our go-to person on the ground, handling office setup, coordinating deliveries, working with vendors, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This is a temporary contract role expected to last 4-8 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Office Setup & Logistics
- Accept and coordinate deliveries (furniture, IT equipment, office supplies, etc.).
- Work with electricians, internet providers, and other vendors for office setup.
- Ensure utilities (WiFi, electricity, water, etc.) are functional before move-in.
- Purchase necessary office supplies and furniture locally if needed.
- Vendor & Facilities Coordination
- Liaise with property management, security, and service providers.
- Oversee minor office improvements (e.g., assembling furniture, setting up workstations).
- Troubleshoot and resolve any facility-related issues during setup.
- General Administrative Support
- Keep track of office setup timelines and budget.
- Provide regular updates to our remote team.
- Be the local point of contact for employees moving into the space.
Requirements:
- Must be located in Salt Lake City, UT and available to be on-site as needed.
- Prior experience in operations, office management, facilities, or logistics preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Comfortable working with vendors, negotiating, and handling minor facility-related issues.
- Problem-solver who can anticipate needs and proactively address challenges.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with a remote team.
- Able to lift and move small office items if needed (nothing heavy-duty).
Job Type & Compensation:
- Contract role: Estimated 4-8 weeks, 20-40 hours per week (flexible based on workload).
- Start date: ASAP.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
