POSITION DESCRIPTION
From April 1 – October 1, the Overlake Pool is open for guarded swimming, including open Family Swim, Swim Team practices, lessons, and other events. Head Lifeguards are responsible for supervising the Lifeguard Staff, ensuring the safety of all members and guests at the pool, managing emergency responses, and maintaining the functionality and cleanliness of the facility.

Requirements:ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Greet members and guest upon arrival and provide assistance as necessary.
- Supervise the Lifeguarding staff to ensure that all daily tasks are completed, rotation schedules are followed, and standards are upheld.
- Help facilitate seasonal onboarding trainings and monthly in-services.
- Assist in cleaning the pool and maintaining the facilities.
- Report any incidents immediately to supervisor and complete all appropriate paperwork.
- Share your knowledge and love of Athletics and Recreation, Nature and Sports with members and your team.
- Must be able to work with children and adults of all ages and abilities.
- Must be available for weekends and / or evening work.
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or plans to become certified before beginning work.
- Familiarity or experience with private club culture, practices, and environment.
- Relevant supervisory or leadership experience.
- Ability to problem solve on the spot and take ownership for problem resolution.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all dealings.
- Excellent customer service skills
