JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Marketing and Communications Director is to own and uphold the Overlake brand, ensuring all communications reflect brand standards and support the club’s vision. This role oversees the creation and coordination of internal marketing materials, social media, website content, membership communications, and event promotions. The position requires creativity, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Own the Overlake brand and ensure brand standards are applied to all communications touchpoints
- Serve as Creative Director for all club marketing materials distributed internally to members
- Design collateral pieces including event advertisements, flyers, and signage
- Create, coordinate, and update content for the Club’s website
- Create and distribute email flipbook newsletters and targeted email communications
- Create SMS communications via the club’s SMS platform
- Manage and produce content for social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Google , and Twitter
- Manage development of all collateral materials including signage, information cards, banners, and other print collateral
- Plan and oversee the club calendar including prospective member gatherings and new member receptions
- Support the Club at major events including Easter, Mother’s Day, Santa Brunch, and others; collect content including photography and videography at events to later be woven into social media posts and email recaps.
- Collaborate with the Team and make recommendations on the look and feel of major Club events; coordinate with vendors including florists, photographers, videographers, and others as needed.
- Complete other assignments as directed by the General Manager
- Business/marketing degree preferred, but not required
- Familiarity or experience with private club culture, practices, and environment preferred
- Prior hospitality industry experience preferred, but not required
- Experience or knowledge of luxury services
- Excellent written, proofing, and verbal communication skills
- Strong creative vision and graphic design experience
- Strategic mindset capable of balancing multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency in Office 365, Adobe Suite, and Canva
- Social media content creation and account management experience
- Website content management experience
- Experience creating email and SMS campaigns
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly
- Professional, courteous, and polished communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer service focus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- High-level customer service skills
