Role Summary :
We are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and inventory management activities for all company R&D efforts, based out of our facility in South Seattle. This individual will have the responsibility of designing and implementing new systems and policies for the procurement function in order to support engineering priorities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sourcing : Source equipment, materials and services across the organization. Define procurement policies including standard agreement terms, and purchasing and approval responsibility processes.
- Inventory Management : Design inventory system. Track and manage inventory levels. Work with engineers to forecast demand for supplies as accurately as possible.
- Vendor Management : Research, select, and negotiate contracts with vendors. Track order lead times against project timelines and communicate status and issues to the leadership team.
- Finance : Work with finance team to ensure that procured items are properly tagged to projects in the accounting system.
- Systems Implementation : Implement ERP and inventory tracking systems.
