What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Overland Animal Hospital?
Overland Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is a one stop shop for all of your pets needs. We offer medical services, boarding, daycare, training, and grooming, all under one roof! We are looking for a new Client Services Representative to work at our medical desk, representing our doctors and nurses.
Responsibilities include but are not are not limited to:
- Triaging calls to determine the level of urgency and scheduling veterinary appointments accordingly
- Communicating with clients via phone, text, or email in a professional and friendly manner
- Working with both the doctors and nurses to ensure clients and pets are receiving the best care possible
- Greeting clients and pets as well as checking them into their appointments
- Checking clients out of appointments and surgeries, including reviewing invoices and taking payment
- Informing and offering customers additional services, including boarding, daycare, training, and grooming
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher
- Experience working in human or animal medicine
- Proficiency in verbal and written English
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and still attend to details
