We’re seeking an organized, energetic, and service-focused Office Manager with a genuine passion for optical and eye care to lead daily operations, motivate a talented team, and ensure our patients always leave with a smile. Community outreach and growing the practice is a skill set needed to thrive in this position.
This role involves working directly with patients and staff, not just doing paperwork. A motivated strong seller is expected. Compensation is a generous a base pay plus bonus, SPIFS, commissions, benefits and employee eyewear perks.
Hours are weekdays closing at 5:00 M-F except Tuesdays till 7:30 PM; only two Saturdays per year are required near year-end. All positions are hourly, and any overtime is paid at time and a half. This position can require some flexibility with schedule to meet patient and staff needs.

Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the optical department, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
- Promote a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Lead daily staff huddles to share goals, celebrate wins, and assign responsibilities.
- Supervise and train staff on optical procedures, retail management practices, and customer interactions.
- Optical duties including sales, troubleshooting, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records.
- Audit medical billing and coding processes accurately to facilitate seamless insurance claims.
- Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and implement strategies for improving profitability.
- Cross-train in all roles to ensure full understanding of each department.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in optical office management within a relevant time period.
- Strong knowledge of vision insurance plans, billing, coding, and HIPAA regulations.
- Familiarity with systems used in optical practices for managing patient records and inventory.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience handling patient accounts receivable.
- ABO Certification. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Crystal Practice Management a plus!
