Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the general direction of the Vice President / Director of Quality, serves the advanced nursing needs of stroke patients by providing direction for patient care; educating patients, family and staff; acting as a consultant. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable State Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit specific structure standards. Coordinates the Stroke Program to sustain The Joint Commission DSM and Primary Stroke Center designation.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hour days
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. ,
- Current Kansas RN license required. Certificate in specialty is preferred.
- Current BLS required.
- Minimum 2 years in or associated with, such as emergency room or interventional radiology, clinical specialty of adult neuroscience.

We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
