Part-Time Nanny Needed – Dix Hills
Hi! Seeking a part-time nanny 2–3 days a week to primarily care a newborn baby. One of those days parents work from home, so we’re still figuring out what the third day will look like. Hours may vary weekly, but we can guarantee at least 2 days, with the potential to increase to 4–5 days in September when I return to work full-time.
Details:
- Location: Dix Hills
- Start Time: Between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM (depending on work schedule)
- End Time: Around 3:00–4:00 PM
- Start Date: ASAP
- September Schedule: Will shift to 4–5 days per week
Responsibilities:
- Primary care for our baby
- Light after-school care for our two older kids (ages 6 & 5) for about an hour — they get home between 2:15 and 2:45 PM
- Possible pickup from school/camp/bus stop (right across the street)
- Light tidying related to the children (e.g., cleaning up after activities and lunch)
- Occasional visits to the park (also right across the street), if you and the kids are up for it
Other Info:
- No driving required beyond possibly driving across the street (optional — walking is fine)
- CPR certification not required, but some knowledge is preferred
- We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with infants
Qualifications
- Proven experience in childcare, including nannying and babysitting
- Strong skills in infant and toddler care
- CPR Certification and First Aid training
- Ability to prepare meals and maintain a clean environment
- Experience working with children with disabilities and in preschool settings
- Effective communication and teaching skills to engage with children
