Are you passionate about working with kids and helping them develop a love for sports? Overtime Athletics (OTA) is looking for energetic and reliable coaches to join our team for summer positions. About the Role
We’re hiring for:
- Summer Camps, Clinics, and Classes:
- Full-Day Camps: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM.
- Half-Day Camps: Morning or afternoon options.
- Evening Classes: Scheduled during the summer.
What We’re Looking For:
An OTA Coach/Instructor must:
- Have experience working with kids. (Experience with daycare, preschool, or primary students is preferred.)
- Be comfortable working in an athletic setting.
- Have basic knowledge of sports.
- Be available to work during the specified time slots.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be punctual, professional, and patient.
- Deliver high-energy, fun, and engaging classes.
Work Environment & Job Details:
- Part-Time Position: Schedules depend on class and camp availability.
- Summer Pay: Starting at $14/hour, with higher pay available for site leads (experience coaching or working with elementary-aged kids required to be considered a lead).
- Camps, clinics, and classes will serve children in the following groups:
- Preschoolers
- Grades K-2
- Grades 3-5
- Middle Grades 6-8
- Classes typically include 10-20 kids per session and camps are staffed at a 10-1 ratio.
Additional Details:
- Full-day summer camps run Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM.
- Most classes and camps are 1-4 hours in duration for half-day or evening programs.
- You are required to arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes after for setup, cleanup, and dismissal.
- Coaches will work as either lead instructors or support instructors based on experience and availability.
- Each coach is responsible for their assigned equipment bag.
- Transportation is required, and OTA does not reimburse for gas or mileage.
- Participation in mandatory training and staff meetings is required.
