Description
Provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that follow the curriculum and meet the educational needs of all students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and is conducive to learning.
- Regularly assess student performance through tests, quizzes, and homework assignments.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and areas of improvement.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and staff to ensure the success of each student.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct, motivate and engage students and manage classroom behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
