Security Community Ambassador

Overton is currently hiring for two (2) Unarmed Security Community Ambassadors in the Pleasanton area for a local business park. This is a mobile security patrol and all candidates will be required to have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. This is NOT an entry level position it requires a very high attention to detail and you will be patrolling an area that is 1/4 of entire city of Pleasanton. You will be doing extensive report writing as well as taking tenant calls.

A security community ambassador is a non-law enforcement member of a community safety program who works to keep people safe and connected to services.

Pay Rate: $25.50/hr paid weekly

Schedule #1 Wed-Sun 4:00p-12:30a

Schedule #2 Sat & Sun 8:00a-4:30p

Responsibilities

• Safety escorts: Provide safety escorts for residents, businesses, and visitors
• Emergency reporting: Contact emergency services for community members in crisis
• Hazard reporting: Report safety hazards, street cleanliness, graffiti, and other issues
• Wellness checks: Check on individuals in public spaces
• Referrals: Link community members to available social services
• Outreach: Educate and inform the public about City services and programs
• Security patrols: Maintain foot and vehicle patrols throughout neighborhoods
• In-person responses: Respond to various calls for service

MVR- Motor Vehicle Record Check

• For insurance purposes all candidates must be at least 25 years of age.
• Mobile Patrol position. Must pass drivers background check.
• Valid DL required.
• A safe driving record is a condition for employment as a driver.
• Driver must have three or more current years of verifiable over-the-road experience and a valid US CDL
• Candidates cannot have more than 3 tickets or
• 2 Tickets and 1 accident
• No more than1 accident
• No major traffic violations (ie DUI, DWI, DWLS, FMFR)

Job Description:

As an Overton Security Community Ambassador you will be a part of a results oriented team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all our serviced properties. It is expected that you will demonstrate behavior consistent with Overton Security core value of serving, protecting and caring.

Qualified applicants for Security Community Ambassador Positions must meet the minimum requirements as described below:

• High school diploma or GED
• Have a current BSIS Guard Card (verified by the DCA)
• Have excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Be computer savvy and have the ability to utilize innovative, wireless technology
• Have flexible and weekend availability
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
• Must have a neat and professional appearance

Additional Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Understand when to contact SOC, PD, client or management
• Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving
