Overton Security is currently hiring for Unarmed Security Officers in the Dallas, Texas area for a local college campus. All candidates for this position MUST have a current/valid Guard Card issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety which will be verified on TOPS. This is NOT an entry level opening candidates should have a minimum of 2 years previous security experience to qualify. All candidates for this position MUST have their own personal, reliable means of transportation to qualify.
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr paid weekly
Site/Position Requirements: Candidates should be able to perform both mobile and foot patrols for the duration of their shift. All candidates must have a minimum 2 years previous security experience to qualify.
Schedule Avail:
Swing Shifts: Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat and Sun 2:00p-10:00p
Hours Per Week: 40
Job Description:
As an Overton Professional Security Officer you will be a part of a results-oriented team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all our serviced properties. It is expected that you will demonstrate behavior consistent with Overton Security core value of serving, protecting and caring.
Qualified applicants for Security Officer Positions must meet the minimum requirements as described below:
- 2 years Licensed Security Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Have a current Texas DPS Non-Commission (Unarmed) Guard Card
- Have excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Be computer savvy and have the ability to utilize innovative, wireless technology
- Have flexible and weekend availability
- Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
- Must have a neat and professional appearance
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor the entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
- Understand when to contact Security Operations Center, PD, client and/or management
- Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving
General Requirements:
- 2 years LICENSED Security Experience (Verified through the TX DPS(TOPS))
Foot Patrol
Candidates must be able to perform a foot patrol for the duration of their shift.
