Overton is currently hiring for a Unarmed Security Officers in the Northridge and Granada Hills Area. This is for a foot patrol posting so all candidates should be able to perform a foot patrol for the duration of their shift.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr paid weekly
Schedule:
Monday- 4p-12a Northridge 8hrs
Tuesday- 4p-12a Northridge 8 hrs
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - OFF
Friday 8a-3p Granada Hills 6.5 hrs
Saturday 3p-10p Granada Hills 6.5 hrs
Sunday 3p-10p Granada Hills 6.5 hrs
Weekly Hours- 35.5 Hours
Special Requirements: Candidate should be able to perform a foot patrol for the duration of their shift.

Job Description:
As an Overton Professional Security Officer you will be a part of a results oriented team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all our serviced properties. It is expected that you will demonstrate behavior consistent with Overton Security core value of serving, protecting and caring.
Qualified applicants for Security Officer Positions must meet the minimum requirements as described below:
- High school diploma or GED
- Have a current BSIS Guard Card
- Have excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Be computer savvy and have the ability to utilize innovative, wireless technology
- Have flexible and weekend availability
- Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
- Must have a neat and professional appearance
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
- Understand when to contact SOC, PD, client or management
- Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving
