Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for cattle while supporting our veterinary staff in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position requires a strong work ethic, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Run the cattle chute safely and effectively.
OVS is looking for a full time employee to assist our 6 Doctor’s and 20 employees with cattle processing. This position will work as part of our cattle crew helping give vaccinations, deworm, tag, implant and collect data on the cattle we are processing. This position will also be responsible for getting product/equipment packed for the job and for clean up of the equipment when a job is finished.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.40 - $17.84 per hour
