Job Summary____________________________________________________________________
The Director of Information Technology (IT Director) leads the development and execution of the Overture’s technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals. This role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology services, while consulting with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to understand strategic needs. The Director also manages the IT department's budget, drives technology projects, and ensures data integrity and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities_____________________________________________________________
- Define and execute Overture’s technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives. Develop a long-term technology roadmap for growth and innovation. Advise the ELT on emerging technologies, scalability and business continuity
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, reliable IT systems and networks.
- Develop and enforce IT security protocols, ensuring data protection compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring rapid recovery from disruptions.
- Monitor and improve data storage and access protocols.
- Collaborate with the CFO/CBO to manage the IT budget and recommend spending based on company needs.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to design, implement, and continually update comprehensive IT software and hardware training programs for all employees, integrating these efforts into new hire onboarding and ongoing professional development.
- Work with each department to identify software requirements, manage upgrades, and ensure alignment with existing systems.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Ticketing, and Data & Analytics to maintain seamless Tessitura CRM integration and develop strategies that foster consistent, user-friendly data and information sharing across the organization.
- Cultivate vendor relationships and manage contracts, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Ensure technology projects meet organizational goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering high performance and industry expertise.
- Ensure effective communication of IT services to non-technical stakeholders and collaboration across departments.
- Continuously assess and enhance the efficiency of IT operations.
- Ensure IT processes meet regulatory standards and provide regular reports on department performance.

Qualifications____________________________________________________________________
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CITP, or PMP are a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Information Technology with a progressive degree of leadership responsibility is required. Experience in a nonprofit environment if preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and executing technology strategies and managing large-scale IT projects (infrastructure, software, integrations).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, network systems, server management, databases, and cybersecurity practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, SQL, Office365, Active Directory), networking protocols (LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and Power BI, Tessitura, Monday.com.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT governance.
- Strong leadership with the ability to inspire and manage IT teams, ensuring high performance and alignment with business needs.
- Ability to oversee complex IT projects, from conception to execution, on time and within budget.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in using data and metrics to track performance and inform decisions.
- In-depth understanding of IT governance frameworks and data protection regulations (GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Familiarity with best practices in ITIL and Agile project management.
