Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETL / DevOps Specialist to lead the migration of our Legacy Data Warehouse (DW) to the Cloud. This is a critical role involving equal parts ETL development and DevOps pipeline management , requiring strong technical expertise and leadership skills to drive this high-impact project to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership : Take ownership of the Cloud Data Warehouse migration project, ensuring seamless transitions and successful outcomes.
- ETL Development (50%) :
- Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL processes.
- Support the transition from Informatica to DBT.
- DevOps (50%) :
- Manage CI / CD pipelines and workflows.
- Adhere to and implement evolving DevOps practices.
- Use GIT for version control and workflow management.
- Data Warehouse Management :
- Work with the current Enterprise Data Warehouse (hosted on AIX).
- Facilitate the transition to a modern cloud-based architecture.
- Must-Have Skills :
- Expertise in DBT for data transformation in the cloud.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, PowerCenter).
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI / CD pipelines, and GIT.
- Nice-to-Have :
- Familiarity with legacy systems and enterprise environments (AIX).
- Experience Level :
- Mid-range to senior-level professional with a proven track record in ETL and DevOps.
- Leadership Skills :
- Strong project ownership and communication abilities to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise :
- Deep understanding of both legacy systems and modern cloud technologies.
- Preferred Background :
- Prior experience transitioning from Informatica to DBT is a significant advantage.
