The Regulatory Analyst performs a variety of tasks in support of the US Regulatory Operations Team. This position is responsible for assimilation and processing of operations data and information, and filing this data with state and local government regulatory agencies.
Ovintiv currently operates in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. The Regulatory Analyst is accountable for ensuring data quality, data management, and to liaise with the regulatory agencies and asset teams.

This position is based in the Denver, CO office. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prepare and submit permit applications and associated technical documents.
- Coordinate, prepare and submit compliance paperwork, documentation and reports.
- Organize, maintain and track permitting and compliance.
- Obtain municipal special use permits.
- Manage projects and timelines with internal asset teams.
- Maintain required records.
- Maintain close communication with operations teams to ensure regulatory needs are addressed in a timely manner.
- Remain abreast of current and new regulations affecting US operating areas, and industry in general.
- Attend agency meetings as necessary.
- Review permit conditions of approval, provide support and assistance to asset teams to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Three to seven years of permitting/planning/land experience.
- Team player with high-level of enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and excellent organization and communication skills.
- Able to problem solve and multi-task under tight schedule constraints, work on multiple projects concurrently, manage varying priorities and tasks, and adapt quickly to rapidly changing events.
- Process centric approach with commitment to continuous improvement
- working knowledge of federal, state, county, and local oil and gas rules and regulations.
- Self-motivated and detail orientated.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software programs.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $95,000 USD
Compensation may vary and will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
