What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative Justice Associate position at OVM, Inc.?
The ideal candidate for this position will work as part of a team, assisting students and their families as they navigate the obstacles keeping the student from regular school attendance. This candidate will build professional relationships with school personnel and help the school and family identify and overcome barriers keeping the student from regular school attendance. This candidate will need to be able to travel to the community where each school is located.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly with all parties involved
- Lead in-person meetings to work toward agreements acceptable by all parties
- Monitor and manage multiple cases
- Contribute to a positive, encouraging team atmosphere
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience as a group facilitator; Kansas Supreme Court approved mediator preferred or willing to get training to become approved
