Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements. This role will manage the accounting team, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and billing, while ensuring efficient task completion and meeting reporting deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger activities, month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee accurate and timely month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
Ensure the preparation, accuracy, and submission of monthly financial reports.
Manage daily banking and cash management operations, ensuring compliance with credit card and banking regulations.
Perform monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities.
Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
Collaborate with department managers to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Enhance efficiency and resource utilization while maintaining accuracy in departmental workflows.
Provide guidance on handling non-routine reporting transactions.
Respond to inquiries from executive management, banking partners, government agencies, and external institutions regarding financial results.
Coordinate successful mid-year and year-end audits in collaboration with external accountants.
Supervise accounting staff to ensure timely completion of financial reports.
Develop and implement new procedures to improve department workflows and provide training to staff.
Address personnel issues, including conflict resolution and performance management, in partnership with HR.
Establish and monitor annual department goals, supporting staff professional development.
Assist in special projects and process improvement initiatives with executive management and external consultants.

Qualifications :

A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, with a deep understanding of core accounting functions.

Strong initiative, dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.

Education & Experience :

Prior accounting and supervisory experience required.

Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Accounting preferred.

Skills & Abilities :

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.

Experience with Epicor Enterprise Software or other ERP accounting systems is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, governmental regulations, and technical materials.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and respond to questions from management and clients.

Physical Demands :

Regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear.

Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.

Ability to communicate and train effectively within a standard hearing range.

Work Environment :

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The work environment is typically quiet, with minimal noise levels.
