What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Food-n-Beverage Supervisor position at OWA Parks & Resort?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and supervise the food & beverage staff and the operation of food venues on an assigned shift.
- Consistently demonstrate superior customer service skills and acts as a positive role model for all team members.
- Convey positive energy and enthusiasm focusing on the guest interaction.
- Immediately address service issues and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Direct the daily work activities of assigned personnel within the restaurant.
- Properly schedule and assign stations within the restaurant minding opportunities to proactively manage labor costs.
- Maintain file documentation and accurate entries in daily logbook.
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness.
- Coach, counsel, discipline and train the team members in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Assist with special and routine projects as necessary.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and a positive working relationship with all team members
- Promote harmony and foster positive attitudes toward the company.
- Inspire with a clear direction and gets others excited about being a part of the company.
- Advise customers on selection of food and beverage items.
- Ensure that food is prepared and served according to the desired portions and quality specifications.
- Ensure adherence to Board of Health standards.
- Provide back-up support for the Beverage department during the absence of the manager, utilizing the same attributes and skills mentioned above.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong leadership, communication and supervisory skills.
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Fluency on Microsoft Office software products. Experience with retail / food and beverage point of sale inventory systems.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work in sunny, hot, humid, cold and rainy conditions.
