Essential Duties:
1. Maintaining an organizational plan including: objectives, policies, and the Performance
Improvement Program for the psychiatric services provided.
2. Coordinating and integrating the psychiatric services with other patient care services to provide a
continuum of care for the client.
3. Provides assessments for each client; developing treatment plans for clients which includes
prescribing medication when appropriate; makes referrals for care outside the facility when
necessary.
4. Must have an effective working relationship with clients, families, all other departments within
the facility; maintain cooperative relationship with the referral network of the community.
5. Participates in ongoing education/training in addiction treatment as needed
Responsibilities:
• Disclose in writing to the agency any other organizations with which they are affiliated.
• Disclose in writing to the agency the number of current active buprenorphine prescriptions
that count towards the prescriber’s DATA waivered capacity.
• Will not exceed the number of active buprenorphine prescriptions permitted by the
prescriber’s DATA waivered capacity.
• Will remain in compliance will all DEA regulations and requirements (i.e., documentation,
storage), as applicable.
• Will remain in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws and
regulations
Qualifications:
• A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority and be licensed to practice in the
State of NJ.
• Must have a current New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certificate CDS
certificate issued by the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
