Reports To: Staffing Coordinator
Job Description: Providing relief for parents of children with disabilities through providing support
while the caregiver can leave and take care of other personal/household-related matters. As well as the

Tasks: You will be required to assist the family with recreational and leisure-related activities,
which may include an array of home and community involvement.
Basic Abilities: Experience in working with children with disabilities. Provide supervision,
boundary limitations, and maintain a safe and positive environment.
Compatibility: Be able to engage the child and provide quality care in a friendly, patient, and
compassionate manner.
Effective Communication: Be able to initiate and receive verbal communication between
managers, clients, and parents regarding how to deliver service and resolve issues.
Qualifications: Ideal applicants should have experience in working with children with disabilities,
effective interpersonal skills, be able to maintain satisfactory working relationships with families and
other professionals, and have time management skills.
Educational Requirement: High School Diploma; some college experience preferred; however, not
mandatory.
