Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication and Assembly
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the necessary materials and assembly process.
- Measure, cut, and prepare steel components using tools such as saws, torches, and grinders.
- Assemble structural steel components using bolts, welding, or rivets as specified in the design.
- Installation
- Secure components with bolts, clamps, or welding to ensure structural integrity.
- Inspect and verify that installed steel conforms to project specifications.
- Quality Control and Safety
- Inspect all fabricated and assembled steel for defects or inaccuracies.
- Ensure all work meets industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.

- Tools and Equipment
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools

- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience (2–5 years) as a steel fitter or in a related role in construction or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with welding techniques.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of structural steel properties and fabrication processes.
- Excellent measurement and mathematical skills for precise cutting and fitting.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials
- Certifications:
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) preferred.

- Exposure to outdoor elements, heavy machinery, noise, and potential hazards.
- May require overtime and weekends.
