Responsibilities
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Reviewing project plans and specifications to estimate costs;
- Developing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs;
- Analyzing construction costs and comparing historical data for similar projects;
- Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and evaluate proposals;
- Preparing and submitting competitive and comprehensive bids for projects;
- Conducting site visits to assess existing conditions and identify potential challenges;
- Collaborating with project managers and senior staff to finalize bid submissions;
- Maintaining accurate and organized records of estimates, bids, and relevant documents.
