A consulting firm in the NYC region is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a high level of experience in the design of building systems throughout the NY and NY metro area. Projects can range from commercial buildings, theatres, and data centers throughout the country.Responsibilities Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.Perform system design calculations, load calculations and some Energy modeling.Select equipment for use in building systems.Prepare contract drawings detailing the designed systems.Report writing and specification preparation.Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.Qualifications A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.Minimum of 8 years professional experience in commercial / institutional building projects.Strong Revit capabilities.Previous Healthcare experience highly desirable.Strong fundamental understanding of national building codes.Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.PE license highly desirable.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Design and Engineering#J-18808-Ljbffr
