Do you have a knack for organization, problem-solving, and working with large equipment? We’re looking for a Coil Bay Operator to maintain safe, efficient coil staging, loading, and material management. This role is essential to keeping our production process running smoothly and on time!
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely stage and load coils in the pit for production needs.
- Efficiently receive and manage incoming/outgoing materials by rail and truck, both physically and using software.
- Assist with railcar movements and ensure quick turnarounds.
- Monitor and replace scrap tubs without disrupting production.
- Ensure accurate data in SAP, EDI, and OPTS systems and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain high-quality standards by inspecting materials and reporting deviations.
- Clean and prep coils, ensuring they're free of debris before processing.
- Assist vendors and drivers coming to the bay and perform equipment clean-up.
- Proactive problem-solving and technical skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
