Position Details
POSITION : K-12 PE / Health Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS : Teaching Certificate with PE / Health endorsement. Additional endorsements preferred but not required. Meet State of Michigan requirements for teacher certification in the required subject area(s) and grade level(s).
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES : The Teacher plans, organizes and implements an appropriate instructional program in an elementary and secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The teacher will encourage students to set and maintain high standards of responsibility for their learning and behavior.
- Have a passion and desire for working with K-12th grade students.
- Must be willing to learn and collaborate with a team as well as be willing to serve on committees and be involved in school functions.
- Maintain confidentiality and high standards of professional conduct at all times.
- Maintain student safety in all situations and utilize effective CPI and Restorative Justice practices.
- Communicate professionally and build positive relationships with students, staff, administrators, parents, and community.
- Be polite, courteous and tactful.
- Exceptional knowledge in research based instructional strategies and ability to implement them effectively.
- Utilize technology for productivity and communication, including record keeping for grades, discipline, and grades.
- Must have good attendance and strong work ethics in all areas.
- Other duties requested by Superintendent.
SALARY : Per Master Contract
