Job Description :
Actively participates in student learning assessment. Instructs various courses in the Criminal Justice curriculum. Positions are usually open evenings, however, day-time slots are sometimes available. Courses could be face-to-face or web courses. Prepare syllabus according to board policy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Working knowledge of Bloom's Taxonomy.
- Working knowledge of the careers in criminal justice.
- Knowledge of Blackboard.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adhere to student learning outcomes and course goals / objectives.
- Ability to teach online and in the classroom to students with differing learning styles.
- Ability to motivate students in online and classroom learning environments.
- Ability to adopt and incorporate new and innovative teaching elements and technologies into online and classroom courses.
- Ability to manage online and face-to-face classroom environments.
- Ability to advise students with course selection.
- Ability to build and strengthen community relationships in the criminal justice field.
