Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate and monitor bale breaking equipment, including Bale Conveyors, Bale Breakers, Hammermill, and Raw Silo Fan.
- Material Handling: Efficiently remove twine from bales as they enter the facility.
- Coordination: Ensure the Bale Loader Operator supplies sufficient raw material fiber to prevent production delays.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work area by performing daily housekeeping tasks.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections of wear parts and cutting components in the bale breaker, hammermill, and raw silo. Replace parts as necessary to ensure optimal operation.
- Safety and Reporting: Proactively communicate any safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Data Recording: Accurately record machine and production data, including daily straw usage, to support operational efficiency.
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Preferred background in agricultural or industrial settings.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
- Capability to stand for entire shifts (8 or 12 hours).
- Comfort working at heights up to 50 ft with appropriate safety PPE.
- Adaptability to work in uncontrolled temperature environments.
- Strong safety awareness for self and colleagues.
- Proficiency in operating PLC screens.
- Solid mechanical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
