PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Owens Corning is focused on driving growth (organically and inorganically) in the building material industry. The Corporate Strategy team is a highly visible team that works on key strategic growth initiatives for Owens Corning. The Corporate Strategy Leader will partner with stakeholders in OC’s core businesses and its executive committee on high priority initiatives, with an emphasis on creating value through profitable growth. The Corporate Strategy Leader will influence the strategic direction of Owens Corning and its business units by leading and contributing to impactful strategy projects related to enterprise strategy, long-range planning, and organic and inorganic growth.
A successful candidate will skillfully partner across the organization, leveraging strategy experience, critical thinking, and work ethic, to help Owens Corning meet its growth objectives. In all aspects of the position, the Corporate Strategy Leader demonstrates teamwork and commitment to the success of Owens Corning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing & Executing Strategy
- Support impactful strategy, investment, and M&A projects that help OC realize its growth objectives.
- Partner with businesses to develop and refine their strategies.
- Support corporate and business strategy projects by owning key workstreams.
- Create and deliver training, onboarding, and ad-hoc material to raise the level of strategic thinking throughout Owens Corning.
- Lead / support cross-functional teams to efficiently answer and implement solutions to strategic questions across businesses, functions and regions.
- Apply project management skills and tools to meet all deadlines.
- Utilize strategic frameworks and hypotheses to efficiently answer essential questions.
- Leverage multiple data sources to create a data-driven fact base.
- Drive new and interesting findings supported by a strong fact base.
- Identify executable next steps to quickly implement the recommended approach.
- Create impactful presentations and models to communicate recommendations.
- Participate in the development of the corporate strategic/long-range plan.
Influence Organic Growth Strategy
- Assist in the data collection, market research, and financial analysis related to organic growth opportunities at the business and enterprise levels.
- Leverage analytic capability to frame organic growth opportunities that are customer inspired. Identify alternative solutions to address challenges and determine criteria necessary for execution as part of an aspiration to build markets and accelerate company success (above-market growth).
- Establish a sustainable operating model and management system to drive visibility to ideation, evaluation, action, and results.
- Lead the evaluation and recommendations of organic growth opportunities. Align with key business decision makers to drive decision making, resourcing, and delivery of opportunities.
Support Inorganic Growth Strategy
- Partner with the Corporate Development and Integration teams on strategic and M&A projects as needed to ensure seamless transition from strategy to execution.
- Assist in the due diligence process for M&A transactions for growth-related diligence activities.
- Assist with data collection and market research related to the topic of M&A strategy and other corporate initiatives. Consolidate, synthesize, and interpret collected information to inform key strategic decisions.
- Support key activities in integration in partnership with the Vice President, Integration and key business leaders.
Special Projects
- Lead and assist in the development and execution of special project requests from the Board, Executive committee, S&T, and other functions.
- Partner with Corporate Development, businesses, and integration teams on high priority strategic initiatives (e.g., transformation, digital strategy, capital allocation, corporate strategy, etc.).
- Apply large scale project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills and tools to meet all deadlines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Business; an MBA is strongly preferred.
- A combination of a minimum of 5-7 years of finance, analytical, consulting, or corporate strategy experience.
- Experience leading and developing others.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Deep expertise in corporate finance, technology, or analytics.
- Experience working for a multi-national manufacturing company on global projects.
- Experience with financial modeling and slidewriting.
- Ability to read financial statements.
