We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Design and Modeling Engineer to join our team at Owens Corning. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to lead the development, implementation, and support of new technologies related to global advanced modeling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the development, implementation, and support of new technologies related to global advanced modeling operations.
- Lead part and system level design of fiber reinforced composite applications for material, structural and process.
- Translate customer product, process & application needs into effective product/process specification and lead modeling projects to successfully deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science, or a related field of study.
- Proficient in performing Finite Element analysis (static & dynamic) of fiber-reinforced composite materials.
- Deep understanding of fiber-reinforced composite structure-property relations, material behavior, and failure modes under static & dynamic loading.
- Strong background and experience in part design and application development using thermoset & thermoplastic composite materials.
