Job Ad – Downline Operator, Lakeland, Florida

Updated Pay Rate: $22.00-$25.00 an hour Shift Differential & Bonus!

OUR SHIFT
12-hour rotating shift – including nights & weekends

You’ll work 3 days, have 2 days off, work 2 days and have 3 days off on day shift (7 am to 7 pm). Next, after a month of that shift you’ll rotate following the same schedule on the night shift (7pm to 7am).

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Downline Operator operates, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots all down line equipment for ULF operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in all ULF quality testing including blown density, thermal testing, color testing, and loss on ignition (LOI)
• Perform data entry and monitoring of all quality data collected on shift
• Place bags on bagger equipment snouts to assure proper packaging
• Assign programs and troubleshoot material handling robot to assure proper functionality
• Maintain inkjet label printer and stretch wrapping equipment
• Assign programs and troubleshoot bag placing robot as required to assure smooth operation in the downline area
• Notes any process abnormalities and notifies Team Leader to initiate corrective action
• Transfer packaged product from operations floor to warehouse throughout operations
• Utilize and appropriately document shipments in SAP software and paperwork
• Always assures clean and orderly housekeeping in all assigned areas
• Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the NLT and the direct supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Ability to multi-task and work as a team

· Basic math skills, communication, and organization skills

· Communication and organizational skills

· Experience working with Microsoft Office

· Problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office software

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US
• Must be 18 years or older

WHAT PUTS YOU AHEAD?

· Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Exposure to temperature extremes

· Prolonged sitting or standing for 12-hour shifts (and/or rotating shifts)
along with repetitive movements, bending and/or twisting

· Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds

· Wearing respirator protection

· Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the Plant
