Summary

Perform quality work with or without direct supervisionWork effectively as a team contributor on all assignmentsInteract professionally with other employees, suppliers, and customersPerform tasks and duties with a mind toward safety for not only yourself but also those around you.The job of the Lead Extruder Process Coordinator is a vital part of the process team; managing daily process control, trials, advanced changeovers and leading training efforts of new extrusion operators.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
Work safely; follow all safety rules and rules of conduct.Lead incident investigation of extrusion related safety alerts.Ensure proper reporting and SBO's of extrusion related incidentsExecute extrusion machine related safety trainings, such as emergency stop location trainingProcess Leadership
Provide direction and assist with process upsets and resolutionsManage process tracking and uptime reporting for critical objectivesSupport maintenance on equipment troubleshooting and investigationCreate and communicate all operator alerts related to extrusion processLead data and information collection for RCA's and BDA's related to extrusionSupport the creation and management of changeover and product recipe plansCreate, review, and revise standard work process documents & process reaction plansMonitor product quality results by reviewing daily lab results to ensure product properties are being met and proper adjustments can be made from an extrusion standpointMonitor and communicate the status of processing capability and product performanceTraining
Train on reaction plans, standard work, and SOP's for extrusion issuesCreate and train on standard work process for current and new equipmentIdentify and create plan for skill gap closure for existing extruder operatorsLead and coordinate training & certification process for extruder operator trainingCo-lead all PSM and PSM-related audits.Lead PSM certification & re-certifications on applicable proceduresOther
Active participation and support of TPMLead creation, implementation, and sustainment of extrusion 5S areasManage process plans and control in Process / Quality Leader's absenceSupport the Lab Coordinator as deemed necessary by the Process & Quality LeaderSKILLS AND ABILITIES

The employee should have the following :
Preferred 3 years hands-on experience in extrusion, CNC, or applicable fieldMinimum high school diploma or equivalent is requiredRelated experience and / or training in an industrial environmentMust provide proof of valid authorization to work in the U.S.Must be 18 years or olderMust be drug and alcohol freeESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
