The Category Lead – is an individual contributor role in the Global Indirect Sourcing organization and is responsible for partnering with regional and business stakeholders translating the Global Energy team’s sourcing strategies and leading the region’s day-to-day sourcing energy needs, including but not limited to natural gas, electricity, carbon, and renewable energy sourcing. In addition, this role will lead the development, communication and execution of the global oxygen procurement strategy. This role is specifically accountable for creating and delivering strategic sourcing direction that is aligned with the businesses and corporate function strategies. Anticipated spend under management is ~$300MM USD.
The Category Lead – Energy will partner with the global energy team, third party advisors, and other OC functions to reduce cost, drive internal engagement and improve supplier quality. The position will utilize various industry information, draw upon knowledge of the global markets, interpret key stakeholder requirements, leverage actionable data analytics in evaluating strategies, developing options, and executing tactics to deliver sustainable sourcing solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization; executive presence
- Energy industry or commodity market experience a plus.
- Strong financial acumen
- Strong office productivity suite skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a regional environment
- Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, finance or related field of study; MBA or Masters-level degree preferred
- Project management that drives impact, strong results and leads change
- Extensive experience in a global sourcing organization or relevant business/commercial experience with progressive responsibilities and success in leading a function
- Experience in creating and implementing strategies at a comprehensive and regional level within a corporate environment
