Social Studies Teacher High School 2025-2026 School Year

Owensboro Catholic Schools is seeking applicants for a full time High School Social Studies Teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year. The ideal candidate would be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who has a bachelor’s degree in education and a Teaching Certificate.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide daily Social Studies instruction for students in grades 9-12
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church is preferred
• Use best practices to provide effective instruction and positive, consistent classroom management
• Self-motivated and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues in a professional and positive manner
• Function as a cooperative, productive team member with a Christ-like attitude
• Support and uphold the philosophy and mission of the Catholic Church and the Owensboro Catholic School System
• Must pass a criminal background check and complete safe environment training for the Diocese of Owensboro before employment can be granted
