What are the responsibilities and job description for the Courtesy Counter/Registration position at OWENSBORO FAMILY YMCA?
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Hours: Weekday mornings and afternoons, Weekend availability required
Under the guidance of the Director of Membership and in accordance with the YMCA Mission and policies, the Courtesy Counter & Registration Associate position fully supports the customer service objectives of the YMCA:
- In general, provide direct member and guest hospitality and membership services.
- Promote membership retention through excellent service and guest engagement.
- Support membership growth by showcasing the facility and programs.
- Promote program participation growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum age of 18 years of age.
2. Excellent verbal communication skills.
3. Attention to detail.
4. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
5. Professionalism when handling member and guest conflicts.
6. Demonstrate initiative and ability to problem solve.
7. Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and courtesy.
8. Able to articulate the YMCA’s Mission, values and focus areas.
9. Physical ability to provide tours of the facility.
10. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
