Responsible for the analysis, design, build, setup, configuration, testing, training and support of OwensboroHealth's Epic system. The Epic Analyst works with clinical / business teams, subject matter experts and otherEpic teams at OH to tailor the system and develop workflows in Epic to fit OH needs. The Analyst will maintainan understanding of end-users objectives for implementing an EHR and recognize opportunities for processredesign that will help the organization maximize the benefits of the Epic implementation.

- Job Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes data access, data use, and end user workflows that support business functions and process improvement knowledge.
- Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives, converts user requirements and needs into detailed application specifications documentation, defines and creates document flows and program decision points, and creates and maintains the knowledge database.
- Contributes to the development and execution of Epic testing, including test scripts, documentation of results, integration testing, and participate in long-term strategic applications planning.
- Develops training strategy and content to educate users on system functionalities specific to their area of operation, facilitates one-on-one training sessions and group training sessions.
- Provide on-site and / or telephone support in accordance with organizational needs - in a periodic, rotating 24x7 on-call schedule.

Assists in the design and development, maintains, and supports Epic and other third party systems for the area of responsibility.
Associate's degree in Information Technology or related business field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Epic certification for the assigned module is preferred. In absence of the needed Epic certification, Epiccertification in assigned module will be required within 6 months of employment in position.
0 to 4 years progressive professional experience required. Prior Epic or other EMR implementation and / orsupport preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
