What are the responsibilities and job description for the Owensboro Medical Practice Float Medical Assistant position at Owensboro Medical Practice?
Overview
A float is required to be trained to work in all different areas and positions in the Practice. The Practice needs a Float to fill in for positions that are in transition or areas that require extra help. Float duties are usually subject to change. Sometimes, a Float may be required to work until 7 PM or on an occasional weekend. We do expect Floats to be available to work on short notices, especially when someone calls in sick and that position needs to be filled by the Float. Many current MOAs and Receptionists started as floats, and moved to a permanent location after a minimum of 6 months as a float.
